Mystery Plant: Azalea Edition

Here is another post about the mystery azalea, hopefully someone will know what it is. I am always on the lookout at nurseries hoping to find one like it. The photo above is a bloom halfway open.
This is a fully open flower with my camera lens cap to give you an idea of the size.
This is the bush. We have had it for a year and a half and are not sure how much bigger it will get.

If anyone can i.d. this I would extremely thankful!

  1. I have been searching all of the sites that I think might help me and I have had no luck. I even looked this azalea up in my azalea book. No joy again. Good luck identifying it. The fact the stamens are not prominent should help you identify it. You might try the azalea society. Perhaps there is a local chapter.

  2. Thank you for looking so hard! I will try to contact the Azalea Society. I just love these little rose type flowers and would love to know what the name is. I hate having unidentified plants!

  3. That is a gorgeous azalea and I'm glad you did find out what this one is. I hope it does come back in full glory.
